Bucks For Turf
Members of your Ohio Turfgrass Foundation Executive Committee, Board of Trustees and staff recently met with Ohio State administrators, Dean Bobby Moser and Director of Extension, Dr. Keith Smith. One of the many topics discussed was the long-standing relationship between OTF and Ohio State and how we can continue working together to make a difference in the turfgrass industry. During the conversation, it became more and more evident that our groups will need to continue finding creative solutions to current and future challenges presented by federal and state reductions in program funding.As part of the solution, we are excited to announce the creation of the BUCKS FOR TURF online auction. With your help, Bucks for Turf will allow us to further our mission of promoting the turfgrass industry and supporting research and education.
Scheduled to kick-off on May 28th during Ohio Turfgrass Week, the Bucks for Turf auction will be promoted to the general public and feature items and experiences donated by OTF members, OSU turfgrass alumni and supporters of our industry. As the Foundation and OSU turfgrass program have a reach that stretches far beyond Ohio's borders, the Bucks for Turf auction will do so as well. Already, we have received donations for rounds of golf and unique sporting event experiences from individuals across the country.
Please consider making a donation to the Bucks for Turf auction. Whether it's rounds of golf, a once-in-a-lifetime pre-game experience on your team's field or a product or service...your donation will play a vital role in helping us continue our mission.
